Hand Crafted in Connecticut by Curtiss Woodworking Our shop lies in the heart of the 'All American Valley' in central Connecticut, where the deep forests and rural atmosphere provide constant inspiration. In the tradition of craftsmen through the ages, all of our products are made by hand, from scratch. There are no pre-fabricated sections used on our furniture (unless the client requests a certain piece be used, such as a door to match existing other doors).
Even parts that most of the larger, mass-producing, woodworkers use, such as cabinet doors and custom trim, are made right in our shop*. The result is that you always get exactly what you wanted, and don't have to settle for generic doors or a trim that is close, but not exact, from a catalog.
* Trim is made when a client requests something that is not stock. There are literally hundreds of thousands of stock moldings on the market, and most jobs will pick one. For custom molding, there may be additional fees and time required, but any shape or pattern can be done. Please Visit our links for more information:
